Why does my drain keep clogging in the same spot?
A clog that returns wasn't cleared, it was only opened up. Recurring clogs usually mean buildup along the pipe walls, a bellied line, or roots in the sewer lateral. A camera inspection shows which one, so you fix the cause once.
Is chemical drain cleaner okay to use?
We'd rather you didn't. Caustic cleaners damage older pipes, rarely clear the real blockage, and make the line hazardous for whoever opens it next. Mechanical cleaning does the job without the collateral damage.
