Furnace red flags
Furnaces rarely die without warning. Catch these early and a September repair stays a September repair.
- Short bursts of heat, then off again, over and over
- A yellow burner flame instead of steady blue
- Grinding, squealing, or banging on startup
- Rooms that never reach the thermostat setting
- Gas smell near the furnace (leave and call from outside)
- A heating bill that climbed while the weather did not

FAQs
Good questions, straight answers
My furnace runs but the house never warms up. What is that?
Common culprits: a clogged filter, a blower problem, duct leaks, or a furnace that has lost capacity with age. A diagnostic visit pins it down - and you'll get the explanation along with the price to fix it.
How often should a furnace be checked?
Once a year, ideally before the first cold snap. Gold Club membership includes HVAC system checks, and the full system is inspected at every visit.
Repair or replace: how do you decide?
We look at the repair cost against the furnace's age, condition, and efficiency, then show you the math. Plenty of furnaces are worth fixing; when one isn't, we'll say so and show you why.
Do you install furnaces you did not sell?
We service all major brands regardless of who installed them. [VERIFY BRAND/WARRANTY POLICY]
